What makes this different from ordinary antivirus
Ordinary antivirus gets installed on a computer and left to it. It might be working. It might have run out. It might have been switched off by someone installing a game. Nobody knows, because nobody's checking.
This is the same kind of protection, but with someone keeping an eye on it. We hold the licence centrally so it can't quietly run out. We set the protection level, not whoever clicked through the install fastest. Any threats, quarantines or problems come to us and get reviewed by a technician. If a device stops checking in, that's a warning sign in itself.
Who it's for
Anyone who wants protection that just keeps working without them having to think about it: home users who never notice the renewal warning, and small business owners who need to know — not hope — that their machine is protected.
It's also a good starting point if you want something better than free antivirus but aren't ready for a full ongoing plan yet.

Antivirus versus deeper protection
Ordinary antivirus recognises known bad files and known bad behaviour. Deeper monitoring — sometimes called EDR — records what programs actually did, so it can catch an attack that uses perfectly normal tools, and undo the damage.
ARK Care Shield and Plus include antivirus with behaviour-based protection. Pro adds that deeper monitoring plus web filtering, which stops your browser reaching dodgy websites before it even connects. For most home users, the standard antivirus is plenty; if you're handling customer payments or details, Pro makes more sense.
